How can it be over already? Where did the year go? 2017 started out like any other year. I set lots of goals, pondered a few dreams, and like usual life shows up to the party. Some of you know that at the beginning of my busy season my Dad passed away and left a little storm for me. Although we were had a complicated relationship that kind of knocked me off balance for quite while. So many of you were patient and understanding when things didn't go as smoothly as they had in the past. I THANK YOU for that.
Goals that suffered a bit, were the blog and the workshops. My 2018 goals, of course, include getting back on track with them. I hope this is the year the Kids Workshop will hit the studio, as that has been a dream of mine for quite some time. Goals that were met were, working with so many great people. I photographed just shy of 100 sessions and donated several others. That just blows my mind! Just 5 years ago my goal for the year was 20! New this year has been working with graduating seniors who are in foster care and might not otherwise be able to experience senior portraits. That has been such an amazing opportunity and experience. I met so many new wonderful people this year and developed even stronger relationships with my return clients. Clients who I now consider my friends. The best part of my job is YOU! Thank you for your continued support. Your referrals, Facebook shares, opening the emails, and sharing. The list really goes on and on. I am grateful! I am taking a break til mid January to regroup and re-energize! Wednesday is Purge Day at the Curry house. I can't wait. The dumpster is coming and lots of junk is going in, both physical and mental. Am I the only one that gets excited about getting rid of junk? Going into 2018 with a clutter free house and mind! Easier said than done...right? Happy New Year Everyone! I look forward to spending 2018 with you. Blessing ~ Monique |
