I have been a little MIA on the blog the last 2 weeks but I hope like me you have been out enjoying the summer sun and not on your internet connected device :) I have always loved rows of apple trees when they are blossomed. When I was pregnant with my daughter I envisioned one day capturing some pictures of her among the blossomed trees. When I saw this dress a few weeks ago I knew it would be perfect for such a session. Then came the interesting part, waiting for the trees to finally blossom. With the cold weather this year they were a little late. Well she gave me her best 15 minutes (her usual uncooperative self, although it was past her bed time, so I will cut her some slack ;) and I was able to snap a few pictures of her first experience in an orchard. I can't believe in just 3 short weeks she will turn 2. I can hardly catch my breath the time is going to fast. These are pictures I will treasure forever. Thanks for stopping by!
Want to capture your little one enjoying the summer sun? Contact me to schedule a session. While appreciation for any parent or parent figures should be every day of the year, I still love the extra appreciation given to Moms on this special day. I had no idea how hard (yet amazing) motherhood would be until I became one. With each child and passing year I am amazed at the things I never thought I would find myself doing. My children have taught me so many things about myself, some good and some bad. With every new day comes new challenges and new rewards. I am so looking forward to summer and spending my days soaking up the sun will these 3 little people. If you have been reading my Blog for awhile now you know I previously posted about finding balance in my life. I am still slowing working on that. Never seems to be enough time in the days to accomplish all I would like too. I have already lightened my session load to a select number of sessions each month. As we move into Summer (hopefully soon) I will be working on certain days/hours of the week. While I pride myself on being available and very flexible for my clients and workshop attendees. I want to be as available and present as possible for my 3 little people while they will still have me. Dreading the day the first one says"Mom you don't need to come"! So we will be putting our electronics away (except the cameras ;) and enjoying the days. New work hours starting May13th, 2014 will be Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5pm - 10pm and every other weekend from 5pm - 9pm. I will be answering emails and messages during the above hours along with 6am -7am and 8pm - 9pm Monday-Friday. Stay with me here as I blog about new sessions, summer fun and lots more.
Finally, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart to those of you that keep coming back year after year. For those of you that refer your friends and family time and time again. 2014 has already been a very successful year in my book and I am looking forward to meeting many new faces! First let me apologize for being so absent lately. Eek things just get so crazy once Spring hits. The kids have a million things going on school, I get motivated to get some of my personal projects complete and best of all the inquires and bookings for sessions start to roll in! I am very excited about a few crafty non photography related projects I am finally able to work on and can't wait to show you guys. A few weeks ago now I was asked to photograph a wedding. WHAT?? You don't do weddings Monique!!! I know, I know, but I could not resist. Aside from this being someone who I have known for a very very long time along with members of her family, once she laid out the details of the wedding I was giddy. A vintage wedding....I was like hells yes! It was truly a memorable experience. While I have attended weddings before there was just something surreal about being 1 out of 5 people in a little courtroom witnessing two young people enter into a lifelong commitment. And two perfect people at that to be joined. Take 5 minutes and watch their Wedding Day unfold. It's totally worth it! Then please take a moment to send them a blessing in the comments below. Congratulations Mr and Mrs Zinser
